Increased social, economic and political autonomy for women and girls with disabilities.

Strategic Aims

To lobby and advocate for legislation, policies and practices that promote for social, economic and political interests and inclusion of women with disabilities.
To encourage the formation and development of structures and organizations of women with disabilities and to strengthen their voice in regions where they are weak.
To encourage the full participation of women with disabilities in all socio-economic, political and cultural spheres.

PROGRAMMES

Capacity Development

This is where women structures capacity/knowledge and awareness of their rights, ability to influence policy, legislation and law is developed and their confidence built through the effective development of the networks.

Women Empowerment

The program aims to protect disabled women from exploitation, abuse and violence by raising awareness of their rights and to advocate for the implementation of their constitutional rights and the relevant disability policies and conventions.

Human Rights & Advocacy

This is a program where lobbying and advocacy is conducted to effect changes on policies and practices that discriminate persons with disability more in particular women and girls with disabilities are done. Awareness, research and litigation support is also conducted.
